Host club Omagh wheelers have lined up a fantastic support cast to the national cycling championships in the county Tyrone town over the last weekend in June.
Working in partnership with Fermanagh and Omagh district council they will turn the newly opened Oasis plaza into the cycling village a focal point for spectators for the weekend. The plaza side adjacent to the start and finish line of the town based circuit.
The organisers have converted the Oasis plaza into a haven of entertainment and information throughout the big weekend. The cycling village will have something for all the family:
Events in the town centre launch on Friday 26th June with a five mile family cycle from Sallys – Families will be under starter’s orders from 7.30pm on.
In Omagh on Saturday 27th June at 7:30pm spectators can attend a ‘Q&A session with the some of the top riders in Ireland. This chance to get up and personal with some of our top professional and amateur riders is being hosted by Sallys of Omagh.
Throughout the weekend Roller Racing (AS SEEN ON TV) will provide entertaining competition for anyone brave or foolish enough to have ago.
Local shopkeepers have also joined in many of whom have created special window displays to mark the event.
AS well as a feast of cycling the host club will deliver a fantastic series of events to entertain all visitors to Omagh through the national’s weekend.
